RIGHT TURN OPEN
Work on New Franklin Boulevard is ahead of schedule. As of yesterday, the right turn lane from South Franklin Boulevard/McVay Highway onto Franklin Boulevard is now open. Please continue to use caution in the area as construction crews work on other features of the project.

The original roundabout concept, a large single circle, would have required purchasing a lot of active business property. So the design engineers came back with a solution with fewer impacts to surrounding property.
The large roundabout is designed to serve existing travel to the east, west and south, and the small roundabout is designed to serve future development to the north, between Franklin Boulevard and the Willamette River, as envisioned in the Glenwood Refinement Plan. |
